I’m proud to have been endorsed this month by the Minnetonka Climate Initiative, Stonewall DFL, and the DFL Environmental Caucus.
The Minnetonka Climate Initiative is a grassroots group of climate activists in my home city of Minnetonka. The organization grew out of an organized effort to help the Minnetonka government commit to more aggressive climate goals to ensure the health, happiness, and safety of future generations of residents. I know we must marshal state resources to fight the existential threat of climate change, and I stand with the MCI in their important work.
Stonewall DFL is the LGBTQ caucus of the Minnesota DFL party. They work for a safe and equitable Minnesota by electing lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer, and allied Democrats to public office and state party positions. I am a proud ally of the LGBTQ community and will always fight all forms of discrimination and persecution.
The DFL Environmental Caucus works to educate and mobilize Minnesotans to protect, preserve, and restore our natural environment. I’ve cared deeply about environmental issues for as long as I can remember and am committed to protecting Minnesota’s natural resources, including by placing a moratorium on copper, nickel, and sulfide mining statewide and by investing in clean energy projects.
