Hi, I’m State Senator Ann Johnson Stewart, and I’m running for reelection in 2026.

I’m an engineer, educator, former small business owner, mom, and your District 45 Senator in the Minnesota legislature. As your incumbent candidate, you can count on me to vote on issues with the expertise and perspective that comes from
a career of leading public infrastructure projects, running a small business, and raising a family in the district. As an experienced lawmaker, I find bipartisan solutions to the problems facing our district and state.

With all that Minnesota has endured this past year — targeted political violence, a tragic mass shooting at Annunciation, and chaos caused by Operation Metro Surge — it’s never been more important to have steady, authentic leadership capable of nuanced decision-making. I’m the leader that can meet the moment and deliver the results our community deserves.
