Ann Johnson Stewart to join Senator Amy Klobuchar, Lt. Governor Peggy Flanagan, Majority Leader Erin Murphy, Speaker Melissa Hortman to Rally for Reproductive Freedom in Senate District 45

Wayzata, MN – Ann Johnson Stewart, candidate for State Senate, will be joining key Minnesota leaders in the fight for reproductive freedom on Saturday, September 14th at 2pm for the “Mind Your Own D*MN Business Knock for Reproductive Freedom.” The event is being held at the DFL CD3 office (3319 CR 101 Wayzata, MN 55391) to stress that abortion rights are under attack in our country by Republican legislatures, and that winning this single race for State Senate will preserve a pro-choice Senate Majority.

Ann Johnson Stewart: “I’m eager to join with leaders on this issue to make sure women in our state have the rights and privacy they deserve. It’s so important to remember that this one seat in the Minnesota Senate will decide the future of reproductive freedom in Minnesota, and I am a vote that women can count on when it comes to protecting their freedoms and privacies.”

Johnson Stewart continued, “Republican-led legislatures across the country have been implementing extreme bans and restrictions on women and their families, and if the Republican Party wins this State Senate seat, they have the power to continue these efforts right here in Minnesota. We can’t let that happen. I’m looking forward to an exciting event this weekend.”

Ann Johnson Stewart is a civil engineer, a teacher, and was an original author of the Protect Reproductive Options Act (PRO-Act) while she served in the Minnesota Senate. She has been fighting for reproductive freedoms since she volunteered as a clinic escort for women seeking care in the 1980’s.
